Purpose/Goal
- State of Perak Islamic Religious Department to build a knowledgeable, prayerful, competitive and pious individual, who understands and makes Islam a way of life established on the Al-Quran and As Sunnah to achieve Duniawi and Ukhrawi contentment.
- To create a balanced individual from aspects of ilmiah, spiritual, physical and emotional, who is competitive, creative and innovative towards excellence.
- To prevent aggression activities through efforts of enforcement and information of Syariah laws.
- To increase research and analysis efforts with the existence of the Information Centre.
- To increase the understanding and the practice of Islam amongst the community through propagation, knowledge appreciation, welfare activities and to upgrade religious institutions such as mosques and surau.
- To increase the quality of services, human development, instilling harmony and cheer within the department, to upgrade and oversee financial management with prudence and to monitor physical development projects.
RESEARCH DIVISION
Objectives of the Research Division
Striving to place Islam in the highest place by practicing suitable alternative Islam by way of parallel and uniformity in the aspects of the believer's life.
Functions of the Research Division
To study matters relating to aqidah and the believer's current problems as well as to define it.
To act as a welfare and socio-economy mechanism of the believer and to become an information resource and documentation centre for Islam in the State of Perak.
The Research Division's Customer Charter
We will readily entertain all complaints regarding matters of aqidah and problems encountered by the Islam community in the State of Perak and solve it within a duration of two months.
To complete the Halal Certification process within a month from the date of the acceptance of the form.
Contributing information regarding current development in Islam in the State of Perak immediately upon request.
This research division roughly has 3 units, they are:
- Halal verification certification for food and consumers products
- Aqidah
- Documentation
All three units frequently go to grass root level to examine food and products and monitoring practices that are inconsistent with aqidah. They also search for historical materials for documentary.
